Abstract

The purpose of this study is to discover the relationship between self-concept and career option plans of students in class XI from SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan. The study used proportional random sampling with 116 of student respondents. The research applied a quantitative approach by using the correlation method. The tools used in this research for the data collection are Likert-Type Scales and Guttman Scale. Likert-Type Scales are used as a measurement of Self-Concepts and The Guttman Scale is applied on the career choice plans questionnaire. Not only the result in the student career option plans point on medium category level, but also the result showed that rhitung> rtabel, with the position is at a significance level of 0.05. Therefore, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between self-concept and career option plans of students in class XI of SMA Negeri 1 Indralaya Selatan.
