Abstract

Objectives To Be Achieved In This Research (1); Identifying the factors that cause women to work in the kemplang cracker home industry in Tanjung Pering Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (2) Calculating the time spent for kemplang cracker craftsmen before the Covid 19 pandemic and during the Covid 19 period in Tanjung Pering Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (3) Identifying potential livelihood options for women in Tanjung Pering Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency, (4) Calculating the contribution of female kemplang cracker craftsmen labor before the Covid 19 pandemic and during the Covid 19 period in Tanjung Pering Village, Indralaya Utara District, Ogan Ilir Regency to family income. Based on the results of research conducted by researchers, conclusions can be drawn (1) The majority (> 50%) of women working in the kemplang cracker household industry in Tanjung Pering Village. (> 50%) are due to internal factors to meet economic needs that have not been fulfilled by the income of the head of the family, while other causes (<50 %) only affects a small proportion of women as a contributing factor to the main causative factor. (2) The time spent by female respondents who work as female kemplang cracker craftsmen before covid 19 and at the same time covid 19, it can be seen that the time most used by the work of kemplang cracker craftsmen is during productive activities. The most time spent by female respondents was on reproductive activities and the least time spent by female respondents was for social activities, (3) The potential for livelihood options seen from the condition of natural resources and human resources in Tanjung Pering Village is still very minimal, (4)From the results of the paired sample t test using the SPSS 20.0 application. The results show that the Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 <0.05, because the Value Sig. (2-tailed) of 0.000 smaller than 0.05. So, the rule of decision is Reject Ho. This means that there is a difference between the income contribution of female kemplang cracker craftsmen before the Covid 19 pandemic and during the Covid 19 pandemic.
