Abstract

The production cost is an important component for companies that need to be planned and controlled. Controlling the production cost as efficiently as possible will result in lower production costs so that companies can compete in the market and obtain the optimal profit. Controlling is the implementation and adequate management control System. The process or stages of management control System at PT. Sako Indah Gemilang are programming, budgeting, and budgeting control. This study aims to determine the application of management control system to efficiency of the production cost at PT. Sako Indah Gemilang. And this study used a descriptive and quantitative analysis of data obtained from 17 employees PT. Sako Indah Gemilang through questionnaires. The result of the analysis shows that the application of management control system is quite good because in the high category is equal to 71,65%. the efficiency of production cost is still lacking because it only makes the achievement categories sufficient criteria that is equal to 64,93%, and the application of management control system to the efficiency of production cost not adequate because although the process has not been adequately included in the category of high management control system but its application to the production cost efficiency in the company is still lacking.
