Abstract

This study aims to see the effect of price and income on halal food products in Palembang City. The data used in this study are primary data. Primary data were obtained from conducting field research by giving questionnaires to 80 respondents who bought pempek labeled halal in Palembang City. The sampling technique used was the accidential sampling technique with the quota sampling method. The analysis technique used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis with the ordinary least square model and elasticity analysis. The results of this study indicate that price has a positive effect and income has a significant positive effect on demand for pempek. While the results of the coefficient of determination (R2) are 0.258445 or 25 percent, the remaining 75 percent, other variables. The results of the elasticity analysis show that prices and income are inelastic.
