Abstract

This study aims to determine how the production management carried out by Musi Kreatif Indonesia in the making of the video clip Budi Doremi "Tolong". In this study, researchers used the Production Management theory proposed by Frew Wibowo in his book: Television Program Production Techniques and using descriptive qualitive methods with data obtained from in-depth interviews with two main informants and one additional informants, observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that firstly. Musi Kreatif Indonesia has made good and correct idea discoveries through brainstorming conducted by producers and directors. Second, MKI has planned according to the theory, namely making word periods, estimating costs and determining the location. Third, MKI has managed the location permits properly using a permit letter. MKI has not done the scene desing optimally because it was not done before shooting but was done on the day of shooting. MKI has already carried out the production process according to the working period and the shoot list has been made and agreed upon. MKI did not evaluate after shooting each day because the evaluation process was changed to a briefing process. MKI has done the editing process according to the theory where the editor works together with the director to combine the images into one proper video. MKI has carried out the screening process properly and correctly by broadcasting and watching the final video in the Jakarta studio together with Budi Doremi. MKI has not published properly and correctly because MKI only acts as a Production House that works on the video clip, while for publishing, Budi Doremi is fully responsible and takes care of it.
