Abstract

This research is a kind of quantitative descriptive research that aims to describe the perception of parents to early childhood education in Bantunan Village, Pajar Bulan Sub-district of Lahat Regency. subjects in this study were parents who had pre-school children (ages 4-6 years) who did not send their children to PAUD. Sampling technique using Total Sampling, is a sampling technique where the number of samples equal to the population, then the sample amounted to 33 respondents. Methods of data collection in this study using questionnaires and documentation. Data analysis technique of this research is descriptive statistics by describing, explaining the research results in the form of frequency distribution. Result of research and discussion of parent perception toward early childhood education in Bantunan Village Pajar Bulan Subdistrict of Lahat Regency (54.5%) have positive perception and (45,5%) have negative perception. So it can be suggested in parents should put their children into early childhood so that children can grow and develop well.
