Abstract

This study aims to find out the development and relationship between foreign investment, foreign debt, exchange rates and economic growth in Indonesia. This study uses annual secondary data from Bank Indonesia, World Bank, the Ministry of Trade of the Republic of Indonesia and the Central Statistics Agency, from 1999 to 2019. This study uses the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) method using Eviews 11. The results of the analysis show that the growth of Gross Domestic Product always increases every year, while Foreign Investment, Foreign Debt and Exchange Rates always fluctuate up and down, positive and negative. Granger causality test results show that there are variables that have a one-way and two-way relationship, and there are variables that do not have any relationship. In addition, based on the results of the Cointegration test, it shows that the variables analyzed are cointegrated, so the use of VECM can be done to see the short-term and long-term relationships between variables in the study.
