Abstract

This study aims to determine the percentage of conformity of mathematics teaching materials with the characteristics and developmental achievements of children aged (5-6) years. This study uses a type of library research, therefore the data studied are entirely derived from the literature or books. The approach used by researchers is a quantitative approach. The data collection technique used is documentation with the help of data collection tools in the form of a checklist sheet. To examine mathematics teaching materials for children aged (5-6) years, the researchers used seven mathematics teaching materials for children aged (5-6) in the form of books as primary data. The data analysis technique in this study is descriptive statistical analysis. The results showed that overall mathematics teaching materials for children aged (5-6) in the form of books were quite appropriate based on the characteristics and achievements of children's development with a percentage of 68.57%. The indicator contains material based on the achievement of learning mathematics for children aged (5-6) years in Permendikbud no.137 getting an average score of 64.28% with a fairly appropriate category, Material described based on symbolic thinking gets an average value of 78.57% with the category is quite appropriate, Materials directly related to the environment and children's lives get an average score of 67.85% with a fairly appropriate category, Contains concrete images that can attract children's learning interest, gets an average score of 64.28% with a fairly appropriate category, Provides various activities of students to study further get an average score of 67.85% with a fairly appropriate category.
