Abstract

Internet makes people easy to exchange data. Information on any existing data is basically a secret. In another sense, data security is very important to be noted. One way that can be done to maintain security in exchanging data is steganography. There are many methods of steganography, but this research uses the Discrete Wavelet Transform (DWT) method and the Least Significant Bit (LSB) method. Each method used has its own uses. The DWT method plays a role in the stego-cover transformation process and the LSB method plays a role in the message embedding process. This study has indicators as benchmarks for testing, namely Mean Square Error (MSE) and Peak Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR). MSE and PSNR best value from testing 5 data sets are 7,03E-24 and 298,2989 dB.
