Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji dan menjelaskan tentang faktor penyebab anak putus sekolah di desa Tanjung Agung Kabupaten Lahat. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitataif. Informan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 14 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah observasi dan wawancara kepada subyek penelitian. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah pengumpulan data, reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa faktor penyebab anak putus sekolah terdiri dari dua faktor, yaitu faktor internal dan eksternal. Faktor internal yaitu ketidakmampuan mengikuti pelajaran dan malas. Faktor eksternal yaitu keadaan ekonomi orang tua, pengaruh lingkungan bermain atau tempat tinggal. Kata kunci: anak, putus sekolah, faktor penyebab ABSTRACT This study aims to examine and explain the factors that cause children to drop out of school in Tanjung Agung village, Lahat district. This study uses a descriptive method with a qualitative approach. Informants in this study amounted to 14 people. Data collection techniques used were observation and interviews with research subjects. Data analysis techniques used are data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the factors causing children to drop out of school consisted of two factors, namely internal and external factors. Internal factors are the inability to follow lessons and laziness. External factors are the economic condition of parents, the influence of the playing environment or place of residence.
