Abstract

PT. Madina Investama Sejahtera is a company engaged in the land and property industry where the selection of housing development locations does not have a clear comparison between one location and another. The purpose of this study is to apply the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique Exploiting Rank (SMARTER) method in the decision support system for the selection of housing development sites. There are eleven criterias used as benchmarks in the selection of locations, namely: correspondence, distance to asphalt, not disputed land, physical land base, price, electricity network, water sources, facilities/infrastructure, distance to facilities/infrastructure, land area, and payment period. The SMARTER method has advantages in weighting because it uses the Rank Order Centroid (ROC) technique so that the distance between criteria can be maintained. The SMARTER method has succeeded in providing the best alternative recommendations from various alternatives. This research creates a decision support system by applying the SMARTER calculation method in the process of selecting housing development sites based on predetermined criteria. From a total of 27 alternatives, it was found that the location of Jerambah Gantung, Selindung was the best location recommendation given by the system using the SMARTER calculation.
