Abstract
Streptomyces sp. in swamp sediments can be used as one of the probiotic candidates. One of the conditions for a microbe to be used as a probiotic is not pathogenic to the host. The purpose of this study was to determine the concentration and optimal value in fish culture media. The design of the experiment used in this study was a completely randomized design (CRD) with 4 treatments and 3 replications in testing the pathogenecity through testing LC50 96 hours for 4 days, that is without giving Streptomyces sp. (T0), giving with concentration of 104 CFU/ml-1 (T1), giving with concentration 106 of CFU/ml-1 (T2), giving with concentration of 108 CFU/ml-1 (T3), and carried out post maintenance for 11 days post testing LC50 96 hours. The value of testing LC50 96 hours this study is 3,09 x 107 CFU.ml-1. The results showed that given to fish culture media can be pathogenic at a concentration of 108 CFU.ml-1 , but optimal concentration in improving fish is at 106 CFU.ml-1
