Abstract
This study aims to improve the skills of writing observation reports for 4th grade students of SD Negeri Nawangsasi applying the Think Talk Write Model on the theme of caring for living things. This research uses classroom action research method in three cycles of action. Data collection techniques used in the form of tests and observations. Classroom action research has four stages, namely planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The subjects in this study were 4th grade students at SD Negeri Nawangsasi with a total of 11 students consisting of 6 male students and 5 female students. The results of this study indicate that the completeness of student learning outcomes in first cycle amounted to 45%, in the second cycle the students' mastery is 63.64%, and in the third cycle the students' learning outcomes increase to 81.82%. From the results of observations, the activeness of students has increased, in the first cycle the percentage of student activity reached 63.64% with the less active category, in the second cycle it increased by 72% with the moderately active category, and in the third cycle it increased by 85.6% with active category. So it can be concluded that the application of the Think Talk Write Model can improve writing observation reports for 4th grade students at SD Negeri Nawangsasi.
