Abstract

Background: Hypertension is an increase in blood pressure in the arteries, where the systolic blood pressure is more than 140 mmHg and the diastolic pressure is more than 80 mmHg. Along with increasing age, the elderly who have hypertension disorders can affect the balance of the elderly body. Headaches in people with hypertension usually occur due to an increase or high blood pressure where it occurs due to a blockage in the circulatory system. Objective: The purpose of this study was to apply comprehensive nursing care to elderly patients with hypertensive pain. Methods: The method used in this study is a qualitative research method with a case study approach in elderly patients with hypertension pain. Results: The results of this study showed that the three patients with hypertension had the main complaint, namely acute pain. Other nursing problems that can be enforced are sleep pattern disorders, knowledge deficits, risk of falls and problems of readiness to improve health management. The main nursing problem for acute pain is intervention in the form of Al-Quran murottal relaxation techniques with a combination of deep breathing relaxation, sleep pattern disturbances are given sleep support interventions, knowledge deficits and readiness to improve health management are given health education about hypertension and the risk of falling given environmental safety management interventions. Conclusion: Management to overcome the main nursing problem of hypertension pain in the elderly is by giving murottal Al-quran therapy in combination with deep breathing relaxation.
