Abstract
With the increase in vehicle mobility, problems with parking areas arise such as congestion, crime, and illegal parking. So, a solution is needed regarding the existence of a parking lot and the facilities in it to make it easier for parking lot users to get a parking position quickly, thereby increasing the level of efficiency when placing a parking position. This study designs a tool that is able to detect the condition of the parking lot using the Arduino Uno microcontroller and the NodeMCU ESP 8266. Monitoring the parking lot is done using a smartphone connected to the internet network using an additional device in the form of a Wemos D1 Mini circuit. So that parking attendants can easily provide information on unfilled parking LOT numbers to users who will park the car. Wemos D1 Mini is an ESP8266 module that can be programmed directly using the Arduino IDE software. To detect a car in a parking lot that has been filled with data sent via the internet, that is by connecting the Arduino Nano microcontroller with the Wemos D1 Mini via serial communication pins Rx and Tx.
