Abstract

Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Palembang is a community that was formed with the aim of helping the elderly who choose to work, be it trading or offering services rather than begging. Due to the high enthusiasm of the people of Palembang City to become members of Komunitas Ketimbang Ngemis Palembang, this community holds an open recruitment every year. The problem experienced by the organizers in determining the division of prospective new members is the large number of participants who must be assessed manually using paper resulting in piles of assessment forms, making them vulnerable to data loss and making it difficult to find if the data is needed. Another problem is that there is no objective calculation so that the division of new members is often not in accordance with their potential, as a result the morale of the members decreases when they are accepted as members of Komunita Ketimbang Ngemis Palembang. To overcome the above problems, the author uses the Profile Matching method to implement a decision support system because it compares individual abilities with competencies that must be fulfilled in a position / position, then the differences in competence are obtained so as to get the best alternative.
