Abstract

The city of Palembang is a city that is starting to develop in its artistic appreciation, it is time that the city of Palembang is starting to be famous for its potential, especially in the field of music and performing arts. professional causes the performing arts began to be less desirable. Currently, theater and music performances are often held in spacious areas and auditoriums that do not have an acoustic system like performing arts. So we need a building that accommodates these needs, namely, the Concert Hall. In this design, a Concert Hall will be designed that can accommodate a theater or music performance. The design will be built in the Gandus area right on the banks of the Musi River and is a tourism area for Palembang City. The design idea itself uses the characteristics of the city of Palembang which is modified and combined with modern styles and other archipelago styles in the design of this musical performance building, resulting in a unique design but still has the identity of the city of Palembang itself. The existence of a concert hall in Palembang is expected to provide a place for art appreciation for local and international music lovers and other performing arts lovers in the city of Palembang, as well as provide a suitable place to hold a concert with the right acoustic facilities. In addition to this, the building will continue to adapt the waste system by using an artificial wetland system in an effort to preserve the Musi River.
