Abstract

In a competitive environment every company mus t capable t o de liver quality product and Service t o customer. Total Quality Management (TQM) should be a solution since it is a management system that has orientation to customer sataisfaction. TQM impiementation needs a significant cost known as Cost of Quality. This cost is needed to conduct a series of action plan to improve quality of product and Service. One parameter ofTQM implementation is by using calculation of cost of quality. This research objectives is to calculate cost of quality in hospital which may different with the calculation of cost of quality in manufacturing industry. The purpose of this research are 1) to determine whether the cost of quality reporting at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang has applied. 2)to know how the application of reporting and analysis on the cost of quality at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang. The result of this research showed that RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang has spent the cost for quality but not yet made its reporting in particular. While the composition of quality cost at RSUP Dr. Mohammad Hoesin Palembang can not say ideal according to theory.
