Abstract

The purpose of this research is to develop a valid and practical interactive video media product for children's stories on transportation themes. The development is carried out using the R&D (Research and Development) development method combined with the ADDIE model and Tessmer formative evaluation. The data collection technique uses a walkthrough to see the value of the validity of a product. The average result of media expert validation was 91% (very valid category) while the average result of material expert validation was 86% (very valid category). Then the average result of the validation of media experts and material experts on the validator's assessment was obtained by 89%. The data collection technique used observation to assess the practicality of the interactive story video with the theme of transportation, using a one to one evaluation stage with 3 children. The average observation result from the story interactive video was 97% (very practical category) and the small group evaluation stage. the average result of interactive video observation of stories is 95% (very practical category). So the average test results from one to one and small group were obtained by 96% (very practical category). So it can be concluded that the interactive video story with the theme of transportation is declared valid in terms of media, there are visual, audio, typography, language and programming as well as content and construct validity, while it is declared practical in terms of indicators of observing speaking skills in children and the use of appropriate interactive videos. with observation assessment indicators, namely children are enthusiastic in using interactive videos so that they can be implemented for children aged (5-6) years.
