Abstract

This study aims to determine the student's mathematical representation ability after learning using PMRI and LSLC on SPLDV material class VIII assisted with animated videos. The type of research used is descriptive with the research subjects are students of class VIII.5 at SMP Negeri 1 Palembang, totaling 32 students. The information collection techniques used were observation, giving essay question, and interviews. After doing the research, it was found that the indicators of the mathematical representation ability of students in class VIII.5 on the SPLDV material have appeared a lot, although there are still students who have not shown their mathematical representation ability indicators. The indicators of mathematical representation ability that appear the most are verbal and symbolic indicators, while the indicators that rarely appear are visual indicators.
