Abstract
This study conducted at PPPGL (Marine Technology Research and Development Center) has applied 2D seismic data processing to produce subsurface geological information of the Nias basin in the seismic cross-section. ProMAX software was used to process secondary data in SEG- D format starting from raw data to seismic migration, which used a Kirchoff Pre-Stack Time Migration (PSTM) method. This PSTM utilized CDP gathers from preprocessing and RMS velocity. The results show that noise still clearly appears in the seismic section from time 2500- 4000 ms and the PSTM can not accurately reveal geological structural for this study area. Therefore, Pre-Stack Depth Migration (PSDM) is needed to be applied to remove noise properly and to produce the seismic section accurately.
