Abstract
This study develops teaching materials based on the Discovery Learning model on the theme of Healthy Food, the sub-theme of How the Body Processes Food for class V SDN 68 Palembang, aims to determine the level of feasibility and practicality of the teaching materials developed. This research uses a 3D development model (Define, Design and Develop). The validation results obtained from material experts are 92.1% including the very valid category. The validation results from media experts are 92.8% including the very valid category. The results of the validation of the fifth grade elementary school teachers were 97.5% including the very valid category. The results for the first phase of the student trial were 98.3% which stated the category was very practical. The test results for the second stage of students were 100% which stated the category was very practical. From these results, teaching materials based on the Discovery Learning model are feasible and practical to use in learning. In the future, it is hoped that these teaching materials can be used in learning in elementary schools.
