Abstract

The purpose of this study was to describe and improve the learning outcomes of fourth grade students at SD Negeri 7 Tanjung Lago by applying the PMRI approach to statistical material, this research was carried out in the even semester of 2020/2021. The type of research used is Classroom Action Research (CAR) with 2 cycles of action, consisting of planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. The research subjects were fourth grade students at SDN 7 Tanjung Lago, totaling 12 people consisting of 5 boys and 6 girls, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, students were limited. The data collection techniques used were tests and observations. The data obtained is useful for measuring the level of completeness of students in Statistics material. From the results of the research in the first cycle, the researchers got completeness as many as 7 people with a percentage of 58.33% and the activeness of students with a percentage of 73.26%. In the second cycle, the researchers obtained completeness as many as 10 people with a percentage of 83.33% and the activeness of students with a percentage of 80.20%. It can be concluded that the learning outcomes of class IV Statistics at SD Negeri 7 Tanjung Lago by applying the PMRI approach can improve student learning outcomes. It is recommended for teachers to apply the PMRI approach to learning as an alternative in teaching in the classroom. And for further research, it is recommended to pay attention to something tangible as the students' initial knowledge and pay attention to the time in carrying out research.
