Abstract
Humans as social beings interact with other people in order to form a good self-concept so that it will affect their self-confidence. This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between self-concept and self-confidence in guidance and counseling students batch 2021, FKIP Sriwijaya University. This study uses a quantitative approach with the correlation method. The data were collected using a Likert model of psychology scale. The population and sample in this study were 72 respondents using the saturated sample technique. The data analysis technique used in this research is the Pearson product moment formula. From the results of data analysis, it shows that the relationship between self-concept and self-confidence of guidance and counseling students in the class of 2021 obtained a correlation coefficient (rxy) with a value of 0.809 as rcount and the number of 72 respondents with a significant level of 5%, so the rtable value is 0.235 so that the hypothesis test rcount > rtable then Ho rejected Ha accepted. Thus, the degree of correlation is in the high range of 0.70-0.90 so that self-concept with self-confidence shows the variable in the same direction, namely if self-concept increases it will be followed by self-confidence. This research is expected to be a reference in the field of education, especially guidance and counseling. Keywords: Self Concept, Self Confidence
