Abstract

The aims of this research are to find out: (1) the moral values in the Novel Later We Will Tell You About Today by Marchella F.P; (2) appreciation of moral values in Marchella F.P's novel Later We Will Tell You About Today the morale of high school students. This research is a qualitative research. The subject of this research is the novel Later We Tell About Today by Marchella F.P. The object of this research is the aspect of moral values contained in Later We Will Tell You About Today by Marchella F.P. The data source that the writer uses is the novel by Marchella F.P. with the title Later We Tell About Today. The data collection techniques included: (1) Examining all the data obtained in the form of Moral values in the Novel Later We Tell About Today by Marchella F.P; (2) Reducing and then linked to written data on moral values, quoted to strengthen data analysis. The results of this study ensure that the moral values contained in the novel Later We Will Tell You About Today by Marchella F.P. consists of the relationship between man and God, the relationship between man and himself, and the relationship between man and other human beings. human relationship with God consists of: 1) relationship of 2 values surrender to God; 2) 3 thanks to God; and 3) 2 prayer values. human relationship with oneself consists of: 1) 7 values of patience; 2) 2 values of responsibility; 3) 11 values of never giving up and working hard; 4) 8 accept reality; 5) 3 values of sincerity 6) 1 value of not being confident; 7) 4 values of self-awareness; 8) 1 value of honesty; 9) 2 values of assertiveness and conviction; 10) 5 values and don't make it difficult for yourself; 11) 8 optimistic values. human relations with other humans consist of: 1) 10 giving advice to humans; 2) 5 care for others; 3) 3 mutual respect and respect; 4) 5 help; and 5) 3 do good. The implications of moral values in Marchella F.P's novel Later We Will Tell You About Today on Moral High School Students, namely learning Indonesian language and literature in the 2013 curriculum are structured with basic competencies between Indonesian language and literature in balance. In the 2013 curriculum for class X SMA/MA there is a KD for learning literature using novel media. This is stated in KD.3.9 identifying important points from two non-fiction books (enrichment books) and one novel that is read to determine the linguistic value of the story. These basic competencies are taught in the odd semester of class X.
