Abstract

This research is motivated by several obstacles in DiTES application service, the first, namely the letter submission requirement feature that cannot be displayed when the user wants to submit a letter, second. Regarding the timeliness of application services because there is no certainty of time, third. There are still many application user files or documents that are rejected. This study aims to determine the management of the Digital Tracking Equipment System (DiTES) application at the Regional II Higher Education Service Institute. This study uses a descriptive qualitative method. This research technique is carried out by in-depth interviews, observation and documentation studies. This study uses the theory of management or management by George R. Terry. George R. Terry theory emphasizes 4 dimensions to measure management so that it can be carried out properly, namely planning, organizing, actuating and controlling. The results of this study indicate that the planning, organization, implementation and supervision have not been carried out properly. The conclusion of this study is that the management of the DiTES application has not been carried out properly, so it is necessary to: (1) Increase the socialization activities of the DiTES application to reduce errors in submitting letters (2) Make improvements to the DiTES application, especially the profile features and letter requirements which often experience bugs/ constraints, (3) The division of tasks and responsibilities must be explained in writing in the Decree of the Head of LLDIKTI Region II, (4) Training activities for the IT development team of LLDIKTI Region II on software upgrading and organizational management in order to improve the quality of DiTES applications (5) Improve team coordination and supervision to reduce bottlenecks in the DiTES application
