Abstract
This study aims to determine what parenting styles are given by parents in stimulating social behavior of children aged (4-5) years and what percentage of parenting results are used. The type of research method used is descriptive quantitative with a sample of 30 parents who have children aged (4-5) years in Kelurahan 7 Ulu Palembang using simple random sampling technique. Data collection techniques used closed questionnaires and structured interviews. Based on the results of the study that 79.73% of parents used democratic parenting in stimulating social behavior and on indicators of social behavior stimulation, 88.33% of parents were in the "Always" category to stimulate children's social behavior. So overall, the results of research on parenting parents in stimulating social behavior of children aged (4-5) years are 84.3% in the "often" category. Parents in Kelurahan 7 Ulu always apply good parenting to their children and teach good behavior through example, and involve children directly in social activities. The impact of this research is that children feel helped by proper parenting from parents, this can affect children's social behavior
