Abstract

Palembang city is one of the cities that has many wedding organizer services. Because there are quite a several WO services, it can certainly make it difficult for the bride and groom who will hold a wedding to choose a WO service that fits the desired criteria. To assist in determining the decision making, a Decision Support System (DSS) approach is used. The criteria used include: price, facilities, flexibility, theme, and location. This study aims to analyze the results of the AHP and AHP-SAW methods so that it can be determined which method is more relevant to be implemented in the case of WO selection in Palembang City. The AHP method is a multi-criteria decision-making method based on the concept of outranking by using pairwise comparisons of alternatives based on each appropriate criterion. In the AHP-SAW method, the AHP method is used to determine the weight of the criteria and sub-criteria, and the SAW method is used to find the final value of WO alternatives and ranking. The SAW method is used because it can perform rankings quickly and precisely, but still takes into account conflicting attributes. Based on data from real respondents from a questionnaire from several couples who have used WO, the results of the Hamming Distance method show that the difference is not far apart, namely the AHP method 63.3% and the AHP-SAW method 76.7%. In this study, both methods have the same recommendation. However, there are differences in the ranking of all alternatives. This is due to the different normalization procedures so that it makes a very thin difference in the ranking results
