Abstract
The increasing demand for livestock products causes the use of medicines for the prevention and treatment of livestock diseases to become increasingly important so that meat and eggs can be produced efficiently. Improvement of metabolism through the provision of livestock herbal herbs will indirectly improve the health and body weight of livestock through the Herbal Herbs bioactive substances. This research was carried out for 35 days from November to December in the Experimental Cage of the Animal Science Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Sriwijaya. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of using fermented herbs in drinking water on carcass weight and commercial carcass slices (breast, thigh, wing, and back), broiler chickens. This study used 60 Daily of chicken (DOC) broilers aged 1 day from PT JAPFA. A completely randomized design (CRD) was applied with 4 treatments and 5 replications was applied. The treatments consisted of P0 (Control), P1 (7.5 ml/liter fermented herbal medicine + drinking water), P2 (10 ml/liter fermented herbal medicine + drinking water), P3 (12.5 ml/liter fermented herbal medicine + drinking water). The observed the percentage of carcass, commercial carcass slices in the form of (chest, thigh, thigh, wing, and back). the results of the study showed that, that the administration of fermented herbal herbal solution up to 12.5 ml/1 liter of drinking water in broiler chickens her similaf results on live weight, carcass weight, carcass percentage and commercial carcass slices.
