Abstract

OSIS is an organization that helps schools in carrying out existing activities and facilitates students to channel creative ideas to schools. OSIS SMA IBA Palembang recruits new administrators every year from grades X to XI. Recruitment of new OSIS management still uses the manual method by conducting interviews. In addition, the election of new OSIS management takes 2 – 4 weeks. This is due to the frequent occurrence of data loss for new student council candidates so that it is difficult for teachers to decide which new board members are eligible to receive. As a result, the announcement of the acceptance of the new OSIS management will be delayed from the predetermined schedule. Given these problems, it is necessary to have a decision support system that can help teachers to determine the prospective new student council administrator according to the criteria determined by using the Simple Multi Attribute Rating Technique Exploiting Ranks (SMARTER) method. The result of this research is a decision support system for the selection of new OSIS management using the SMARTER method.
