Abstract

This study aims to determine the content of iron (Fe) in tidal swamp agricultural areas in Tanjung Lago District. This research was carried out in October 2021 until completion on typology A, B, C, and D tidal agricultural land in Mulia Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency. This study uses a survey and soil test method with the number of sample points taken is 12 points using the composite system method. The variables observed in the laboratory were soil chemical properties (soil Fe content, pH, CEC, Pyrite and C-Organic). The results showed that the content of Fe in Typology A had an average of 2.14 mg/kg, Typology B had an average of 1.20 mg/kg, Typology C had an average of 0.91 mg/kg, in Typology D has an average of 0.71 mg/kg, so that the soil in the tidal fields of Mulia Sari Village, Tanjung Lago District, Banyuasin Regency is below the threshold is 20 mg/kg.
