Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang semakin meningkat membuat siapapun dapat terhubung dengan mudah di berbagai belahan dunia melalui media sosial. Salah satu media sosial yang banyak dimiliki adalah tiktok. Konten video dalam tiktok menyajikan hiburan hingga edukasi. Selain membawa dampak positif, aplikasi ini juga bisa membawa dampak negatif yaitu kecanduan pada penggunanya. Kecanduan tiktok dapat membawa dampak buruk salah satunya fear of missing out (FOMO) yang dapat mengganggu kesehatan mental dan hilang fokus pada saat belajar serta prokrastinasi akademik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui tingkat prokrastinasi akademik pada mahasiswa Program Studi Bimbingan dan Konseling Universitas Sriwijaya. Penelitian ini adalah suatu penelitian yang menggunakan penedekatan penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Alat pengumpulan data menggunakan skala likert. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yakni sebanyak 130 mahasiswa dengan sampel sebanyak 85 orang yang diambil menggunakan teknik “purposive sampling”. Hasil dari penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tingkat stres akademik pada mahasiswa yang bermain media sosial tiktok dominan pada kategori sedang 82,35% dengan jumlah 70 mahasiswa, diikuti dengan kategori tinggi yaitu 10,58% dengan jumlah 9 mahasiswa dan rendah 7,05% dengan jumlah 6 mahasiswa. Berdasarkan aspek yang di teliti (1) aspek penundaan untuk memulai maupun menyelesaikan tugas dengan hasil presentase tertinggi yakni 71,76% dalam kategori sedang dengan jumlah 61 mahasiswa. (2) aspek keterlambatan atau kelambanan dalam mengerjakan tugas dengan hasil presentase tertinggi yakni 68,23% dalam kategori sedang dengan jumlah 58 mahasiswa. (3) aspek kesenjangan waktu antara rencana dan kinerja aktual dengan hasil presentase tertinggi yakni 56,47% dalam kategori sedang dengan jumlah 48 mahasiswa (4) aspek melakukan aktivitas yang lebih menyenangkan daripada mengerjakan tugas dengan hasil presentase tertinggi yakni 71,76%, dalam kategori sedang dengan jumlah 61 mahasiswa. Jadi dapat disimpulkan bahwa mahasiswa yang bermain media sosial tiktok cenderung memiliki tingkat prokrastinasi akademik yang sedang. The purpose of this study was to determine the level of academic procrastination in students of the Guidance and Counseling Study Program, Sriwijaya University. This research is a research that uses quantitative research approach with descriptive method. The data collection tool uses a Likert scale. The population in this study were 130 students with a sample of 85 people who were taken using the "purposive sampling" technique. The results of the study show that the level of academic stress on students who play social media tiktok is dominant in the medium category of 82.35% with a total of 70 students, followed by a high category of 10.58% with a total of 9 students and a low 7.05% with a total of 6 students. student. Based on the aspects examined (1) the aspect of delay in starting or completing assignments with the highest percentage of 71.76% in the medium category with a total of 61 students. (2) aspects of delay or slackness in doing assignments with the highest percentage of 68.23% in the medium category with a total of 58 students. (3) the aspect of the time gap between the plan and the actual performance with the highest percentage of 56.47% in the medium category with a total of 48 students (4) the aspect of doing activities that are more fun than doing the task with the highest percentage of 71.76%, in medium category with 61 students.
