Abstract
This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the management of the receivables at PDAM Tirta Musi whether in accordance with applicable accounting standards and determine factors that affect the collection of accounts run by PDAM Tirta Musi Palembang. The data source role in this research is primary data through interviews, secondary data through documentation and literature. The analytical method used in this research is qualitative descriptive analysis technique.The results showed that Journals made by PDAM Tirta Musi to record the receipt for payment of accounts receivable accounts receivable of water and non-water has complied with generally acceptable accounting principles. However, PDAM Tirta Musi should pay more attention to the rights of customers in improving water quality, and service in the equitable distribution of water.
