Abstract

Kebutuhan akan bahan pangan, pokok, tektil, bahkan hiburan setiap waktu terus naik dan dibutuhkan terus menerus. Juga dengan meningkatnya perkembangan permintaan bisnis yang popular seperti bisnis retail, banyak mengalami peningkatan permintaan yang cukup tajam karena menghasilkan keuntungan yang besar. Kota Padang Panjang merupakan salah satu kota yang menjadi sirkulasi utama penghubung kota-kota besar yang ada di Sumatera Barat. Salah satu aktivitas penting yang perlu dilirik oleh pemerintah adalah meningkatkan kualitas perdangangan ekonomi dengan memanfaatkan keuntungan luas wilayah dan sirkulasi antar wilayah, sehingga membutuhkan sebuah wadah yang bisa menampung semua kegiatan tersebut, yaitu Street Mall.
