Abstract
The world's industrial development is very rapid, one of which is the aviation industry. Airplanes are a means of transportation that are in great demand for the public because of their high level of time efficiency. This encourages that the condition of the aircraft is always considered, especially the components contained in it. Aircraft maintenance is also very concerned to maintain the best condition. Currently, to improve time efficiency, turbofan aircraft are developed. The turbofan engine is of a type like an airplane jet engine which is similar to a turbojet engine. Turbofan engines are derivatives of gas turbine engines that are useful for propelling commercial aircraft and fighter aircraft. The material used in the turbofan engine is aluminum 7075. The purpose of this research is to determine the iMPact resistance of the turbofan engine and to determine the strength of the material used in the turbofan engine. The analytical method used in this study is Finite Element Analysis (FEA). In this study the analysis carried out was the iMPact load on the turbofan engine materialIn this study the analysis carried out was the iMPact load on the turbofan engine material. The results of this study are to obtain yield stress values that are categorized as safe and the material does not change shape, carry out simulations with tensile testing and obtain safe results, and the results of the material flexure test do not change with a maximum value of 2.04 mm and a minimum value of 0 m. Keywords : airplanes, alumunium 7075, finite element analysis (fea), Turbofan Engines.
