Abstract

The use of electrical energy with fossil fuels is increasing, therefore a renewable energy is needed. One of them is PLTS which uses sunlight as its source. One of the PLTS in the city of Palembang is the 2 MW Jakabaring PLTS which has been operating for 5 years. The Jakabaring 2 MW PLTS process requires an evaluation of the operating system which is affected by solar radiation, panel temperature, and environmental weather conditions, so as to minimize errors in the system. In addition, it is also necessary to evaluate the efficiency of the power produced by PLTS 2 MW Jakabaring and the efficiency of the Feeder Tarumanegara GI New Jakabaring. The preparation of this research is to obtain data obtained from PLTS 2 MW Jakabaring and PT PLN (Persero). The maximum power generated by PLTS in sunny conditions is 102.88 kW at 12.00 WIB, while the maximum power in rainy conditions is 49.08 kW at 10.00 WIB. The highest efficiency produced by PLTS is in 2022 of 52.88% at 11.00 WIB and the lowest occurs in 2022 of 14.19% at 17.00 WIB. The highest power use efficiency in Tarumanegara Feeders is in 2022, namely 88.50% at 14.00 WIB and the lowest occurred in 2018 of 27.23% at 07.00 WIB.
