Abstract

Pegagan ducks farmed poultry is one which can be utilized as a source of meat producers. The growth is in line with the ducks pegagan intestine growth and wipe that play a role in digesting and absorbing the nutrients into the digestive tract. Administering probiotics can stimulate the growth of intestinal villus surface area, so the more villus and the greater number of villus, then the area of absorption will increase the absorption of nutrients and the process will be more optimal. Increasing the number and size of the villus will lead to the increase of the weight of intestine as well as seka. This research aims to know the weights of the intestine and caeca ducks pegagan by administering probiotics from Hymenache acutigluma. This research was carried out in June 2017 in Enclosure experiments and laboratory of nutrition and Food Studies Program Livestock Husbandry Faculty of Agriculture University of Sriwijaya. Research design used was Complete Random Design (RAL) with 5 treatments and four replicates. This research consists of 5 treatments: (control) P0, P1 (given probiotics with concentration of 106); P2 (given probiotics with concentration of 107); P3 (given probiotics with a concentration of 108); P4 (given probiotics with concentration of 109). The observed variables include weights duodenum, jejenum, ileum, and caeca. The research results showed that administering probiotics from Hymenache acutigluma influential copper real (p < 0.05) against the weight of intestine, duodenum, jejenum, and caeca, but has no effect on real (p 0.05 >) against the weight of the ileum. The conclusion of this research is giving probiotics from silase the grass kumpai the copper with a concentration of 108 will be able to increase the weight of the small intestine, duodenum, jejenum, and caeca.
