Abstract

This study aims to produce student media that are valid and easily understood following with CAM and CAD courses with AutoCAD with a good level of eligibility. The type of research used is research and development (research and development) using the EDDIE firing model and evaluation using Tessmer. The object of this research is the Mechanical Engineering Education Study Program Class 2016 and 2017 Palembang Campus who have taken CAM and CAD courses. The subject of this study was a Learning Media video tutorial using AutoCAD. Data collection techniques used were validation sheets and questionnaires. Expert validation is used to determine the validity of the product. A questionnaire is used to determine the practicality of the product being developed. Trials were conducted in three stages including self-evaluation, expert review, one to one, small groups and field tests. The results of the study on material experts obtained a percentage of 80% categorized very valid and for media experts getting a percentage of 80% categorized valid. Based on the trial phase one to one get a percentage of 80.8%, at the trial stage the small group gets a percentage of 81.8%, and at the trial stage the field test gets a percentage of 82.2% It can be concluded that the video learning media tutorial on drawing wheel gears using AutoCAD is declared valid and practical.
